When I first listened to this song, I was really unimpressed with the sound, but after hearing it a couple more times, it’s not that bad~ I think the issue was just that the two girls who sing the verses at the beginning have too weak of voices, and combined with whiny lyrics, so it fell flat at the beginning, but it picked up in the chorus and rap. I really like the look of the girls; I love their makeup (I’m a sucker for bright colored eye shadow), their outfits, their hair. They’re really pretty~ But good golly gumdrop, am I sick of songs perpetuating this idea that you’re miserable because you don’t have a man. No one has ever told you they loved you before? Really? You grew up an orphan with no parents or family members? And you say you have a lot of friends, but you’re still weak because you’re not in a relationship? You need to get new friends then, because friends are the ones who keep you strong when love doesn’t work out. So, yeah, most likely you’re just still single because you’re coming off as really desperate and needy. :’D
I’m going to go back to listening to Love Potion haha
