A nice, melancholy, adult song from Lula, reminding us that there are some things in life we just can’t demand or request from other people. I like how the music video gives it a little more depth, with the main girl accepting that she lost her man after going through a jealous fit when she found out he was talking to a girl who used to have a crush on him in high school at their 20th year reunion. How could the guy fault her, though? This girl had kept all those pictures and her journal about him all those years, and apparently brought it to the reunion to give it to him, obviously she had some hope that they could hook up still. I think any girlfriend would be jealous of that, not knowing how far this girl would be willing to go. I guess she should have trusted her man, who did tell the girl he had a girlfriend, and met her first to analyze her threat level, but the guy could have at least given her a second chance and taken the jealous backlash as proof of how much she loved him. *Sigh* Really nice, meaningful song, though, however enjoyably frustrating the music video was~
