At first I was kind of shocked to see such a song/video from Hugo, but the more I listen to it, the more I really like how he took this risk. Brothels exist, what’s the point of denying it? And nothing wrong with partaking if you’re both consenting adults. But I like the subtle, dark warning given; “If you’re unlucky, you might end up paying with your life,” as there’s countless stories of people becoming addicted and spending all their money to go to such places, becoming emotionally attached to the worker who would happily accept their money but not reciprocate feelings, leaving them financially and emotionally destitute, or even contracting incurable diseases. But if someone’s willing to take the risk, go ahead~ It seems the original music video had to be censored and pulled from the internet, and at first I was a little confused as to why they felt the need to blur out the beginning of Hugo leading you into the place but not touch the dancing girls inside, as if you couldn’t tell what it was from them, but then I realized that it’s probably a real place that may not want the attention from such a music video, so the signs with the place name on it had to be blurred out. All in all, interesting, thought-provoking release~
